Registration of a public event

Permission for organising a public event

Issued by: the Koper Administrative Unit

Deadline for submission of applications: at least 10 days before the scheduled event, with the exception of sports events and events taking place in two or more administrative units, for which the application must be submitted at least 30 days before the event

An authorisation must be acquired for:

gatherings or events taking place on the road,
international sports events,
competitions of clubs in first national leagues (for collective sports),
events where open fire, or items or devices which could endanger life and limb or property, will be used,
events with an expected turnout of over 3,000 participants,
events presenting the risk of drowning,
events that animals will participate in.

In other cases, the “Registration of a public event” is enough.

In addition to the permissions obtained from the Municipality of Koper, the following documents must also be enclosed to the application for the permission of a public event:

security plan for the event,
test of the tent or other larger constructions,
agreement on the presence of the emergency medical service during the event, and filled-out forms “Annex 15” and “Annex 16” to the Rules on emergency medical service (http://www.pisrs.si/Pis.web/pregledPredpisa?id=PRAV11992&d-49683-s=3&d-49683-p=1&d-49683-o=2),
proof of professional competence of lifeguards and a statement of their presence during the event (if the event is taking part in the vicinity of water),
proof of the provision of cleaning services for the event space,
if the event will be filmed using drones, the following documents must be enclosed: the announcement of the unmanned aircraft flight, the certificate for performing aircraft activities, and the certificate of being familiar with the flight rules for unmanned aircrafts (https://www.caa.si/brezpilotni-zrakoplovi.html),
if fireworks will be part of the event, the following documents must be enclosed: a fireworks performance study, a fireworks performance certificate, the sketch of the launch pad of the fireworks, a certificate on providing suitable fire protection.
